TRADITIONAL movements for music boxes Reuge offers a large range of movements: from the smallest musical movement in the world with 17 notes to the 144-note Cartel via the Sublime Harmony and the Interchangeables. The traditional movements are fitted in music boxes of the 1865 collection. Characteristics: stamped speed-governor stamped spring-housing tune indicator with needle machined base-plate in brass, cellulose varnish (transparent), satin finish for Cartel movements : machined base-plate in gilt brass

CONTEMPORARY movements for music boxes 2004 has been marked by the birth of a new generation on of musical movements which, thanks to the most sophisticated machining techniques, enable Reuge to reach new standards of precision and aesthetics. These new movements are offered in the Lounge and Studio collections. Characteristics: nickel-plated movement with blued screws machined speed-governor with jewelled finish machined spring-housing tune indicator with numerical display base-plate machined and chamfered with "Côtes de Genève" and edges with polished mirror finish.
